I’m inviting you, my hard-working friend, to take a break from the stress and anxiety of your life
for a moment and breath deeply. Repeat this statement…”Life is hard.” How true does it feel to you?
Most of us were raised in hard-working families and communities who taught us this belief.
But is it really true? Can building a business be enjoyable and (gasp!) easy?
This is the topic we talked about in our Business Summer Camp last week. We considered what
it would be like to really believe that growing a business could be easy. How would that change things
for you? What would be the downsides of believing life was easy?
One of the fears that came up for our class members was the fear that if they believed growing
a business was fun and easy they would be lazy. They see themselves laying around on the couch
napping and watching TV as their bank accounts shrink and the bills pile up.
Maybe this is a fear you have as well. So let’s take a few minutes to tap on this fear and perhaps
allow you a glimmer more fun and joy in your business!
Karate Chop:
Even though I’m afraid to let go of the belief that life is hard I love and accept myself anyway.
Even though I’m afraid I will get lazy and unmotivated if I don’t have the stress this belief causes I accept myself.
Even though I think way deep down that I am lazy and need this belief. I love myself anyway.
Eyebrow: Life is hard and growing a business is too.
Side of Eye; That’s what I always hear.
Under Eye: Everyone says it takes, “Blood, sweat and tears.”
Under Nose: I need this stress and pressure to keep going.
Chin Po int: I’m secretly lazy.
Collar Bone: People admire you if you work hard.
Under Arm: Life is hard.
Top of Head: That’s just how it is.
Positive Round: (Move to this round when you are below a 4 on a intensity level of 1-10)
Eyebrow: Part of me really wants to believe that growing a business is fun and easy.
Side of Eye: I often get a lot done when I am in a relaxed, creative state of mind.
Under Eye: I love feeling joyful and creative.
Under Nose: I love feeling “in the flow.”
Chin Point: Maybe I can allow more magic and joy in my business!
Under Arm: There are a lot of actions that I take in my business that are fun.
Top of Head: Growing a business is fun and easy!
Take a deep breath! Are you ready to experiment with this new way of living?
Mary and I would like to hear your comments and experiences as you play with this
new idea that “Life is Easy.” Feel free to comment!
Also, it is not too late to join our Business Summer Camp! We’d love to have you be a part of the
